I’ve been asked by a few people ‘What if the cinema doesn’t happen?  Would I lose my membership money / seat sponsorship money?  It’s a fair question.  The answer is ‘no’.  We are collecting all the cheques that are coming in, but we won’t bank them until we are confident that we will have enough money to complete the project.

The good news is that we have already sold almost half of the cinema seats for sponsorship – which is brilliant.  But a lot of people who want to join just haven’t got around to posting off their application.  Please do it now.  Don’t wait till the end of May.

Great to hear the the start of the campaign to have a cinema in Harborough knocked the election of the top spot on HFM.  Whilst the leaders debate might have been a big story across the Uk the cinema came top on all news bulletins on HFM on Thursday.  It also proved a lively talking point on many of the shows during the day.

BBC East Midlands Today ran a story on the Harborough Cinema Campaign on Thursday’s bulletins on Thursday in the morning, lunchtime and on the evening. news

The Harborough Mail broke the story about the cinema campaign and ran with a front page story.  It was the Harborough Mail who first ran the story about Lucy and Molly so it’s great to see that they are still so supportive of the campaign.

BBC Radio Leicester aired a piece about the cinema campaign at a prime spot just before 8am on Thursday morning.  They have also created a special link from the BBC website and want us to keep them informed about updates and news.  We’ll be keeping them posted.
