Live from Market Harborough…

At an awards ceremony last night at the 3 Swanns Hotel called the Pride in Harborough Awards sponsored by the Market Harborough Building Society and introduced by Brian Dodds, Editor of the Harborough Mail there was good news and 2 reason to celebrate for the cinema campaign.

Lucy Seaward was named as ‘Young Achiever’ of the year for her work in starting the campaign and also partly setting up the ‘Get Reel’ young people’s cinema on Saturdays.

Alastair Campbell was given an award for ‘Hard Work & Determination’ in pursuing the campaign and in the behind the scenes meeting that have carried on over the past 18 month.

Both hope that in 2009 the work will have paid off and that a cinema will return to Harborough once more.
